Mysterious Murder

Lily is about to leave for medical school when her parents are found dead beside a suicide note that is not in their handwriting. Someone is trying to scare her off, and she does not know who to trust.

The night before she leaves, Lily's parents tell her their town has its secrets, an enchanted bookstore downtown and the abandoned mansion on Elm Street, but some are best left in the past. Then they are dead. The note beside them is not in their handwriting, and the voice on their last call sounded like her father, and not quite. A man hired to frighten her is stopped by her friend Jake, and Ethan thinks she trusts Jake far too easily.
